FNOLA Press Conference

This last week, my Fashion Journalism teacher asked us what we thought about covering FNOLA, and well I was so excited and couldn't wait for the fashionable event on September 8th. So we all met up at FNOLA's Press Conference at the Beverly Center where we heard the mayor of Los Angles and many more amazing people talk about the exciting events to come at his years Fashion's Night Out. 

If some of you aren't familiar with Fashion's Night Out, it's been a stylish success for the last 3 yrs in places all around the world. This extravaganza lets designers, stars and celebrities celebrate and mingle at all types of FNO events. Fashion’s Night Out began in New York in the year 2009 by Vogue, NYC & Company, and the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The goal of the FNO was to motivate consumers to support the fashion industry during the economic downfall. With one extremely successful year under their belt Fashion’s Night Out took on the challenge and expanded to 16 other countries.

Here's a piece of my writing for the Press Conference: "Keeping in mind that our economic situation isn’t at its best, on September 8th consumers will be allowed to participate in a special night where there’s an excuse to shop till they drop. Los Angeles takes much pride in being the heartland of women’s moderately priced fashion and strives to give people as many fashion choices as possible. This global event sponsored by American Vogue, wants to boost the industry and bring to everyone’s attention the importance of fashion in society."
